Luxury apartment amenities attract renters

Rent is on the rise all over Charlotte, with nearly a 7% increase from where it was just a

year ago. Many new construction projects that are in the works are trying to keep up with demand, which is good news for those who are looking to rent. Plus, all of these new apartment communities have really stepped up their game in terms of high end, luxury and sometimes outrageous amenities in order to compete for market share.

Pools, fitness centers, and sundecks are fairly standard amenities. But now, instead of just a basic workout room, you can find full gyms that include yoga, Pilates and cross training, like at the SkyHouse luxury high-rise in Uptown. Or, check out the barre, yoga, and spin room or outdoor yoga terrace and Fitness on Demand at Berkshire Dilworth. Solis Southline boasts a rock climbing wall, and the junior Olympic pool at The Vue and the heated saltwater rooftop pool at Ascent in Uptown are anything but standard.

When shopping for an apartment in Charlotte, perhaps renters will not choose based on the unit itself but by the perks the building that they’re renting from has to offer.
